# Commands, permissions & placeholders

## Commands

Everything is under `/betterstorage`, or `/bs` for short.

| Command      | What it does                                                                                                                              | Who       |

| `/bs browse` | Opens the [storage screen](/plugins/better-storage/using-it/storage-screen.md) for the chunk you are standing in                          | everyone  |
| `/bs edit`   | Opens the settings of the chest you are looking at: its [job](/plugins/better-storage/using-it/chest-jobs.md), what it takes and its prio | everyone  |
| `/bs unpack` | Switches breaking stored blocks open when you take items, for you only                                                                    | everyone  |
| `/bs info`   | The plugin's version and which claim and payment plugins it found                                                                         | everyone  |

## Permissions

Everything players need is allowed by default.

| `betterstorage.use`                 | The storage screen, search, and `/bs unpack`                                        | everyone  |
| `betterstorage.filter`              | Chest settings (`/bs edit`) and hopper filters                                      | everyone  |
| `betterstorage.upgrade`             | Upgrading chests, changing and removing upgrades, every type                        | everyone  |
| `betterstorage.upgrade.<type>`      | One type: `crafter`, `furnace`, `smoker`, `blast_furnace`, `brewing` or `composter` | everyone  |
| `betterstorage.filter.void`         | Trash can chests and "Destroy blocked items" in filters                             | operators |
| `betterstorage.admin`               | `/bs reload`                                                                        | operators |

To take one type of upgrade away, set its own permission to false, for example `betterstorage.upgrade.crafter: false`.

## Placeholders

With PlaceholderAPI installed, these work in scoreboards, holograms and chat.

**About the chunk the player is standing in:**

| `%betterstorage_chunk_items%`         | How many items are stored |
| `%betterstorage_chunk_types%`         | How many different items  |
| `%betterstorage_chunk_free%`          | Empty slots left          |
| `%betterstorage_chunk_slots%`         | All slots, full and empty |
| `%betterstorage_chunk_biggest%`       | The item there is most of |
| `%betterstorage_chunk_biggest_count%` | How many of it            |

**About the whole server:**
